Water and Environment utilities are backbone of every industry for its continues operations. Pakistan has seen tremendous growth and many new business ventures to serve growing need of Water and Energy. Awareness of Water conservation, waste water treatment, recycling and renewable energy has expanded the span of activates for these companies.
I am very pleased to learn that Pak Water Expo is being held at the Karachi Expo Centre.
The Exhibition provides excellent opportunities to all users of waters to keep themselves abreast of the latest advancements in their particular fields and augment their knowledge by exchanging views and experiences with their colleagues. Arranging such Exhibition will yield fruitful results and provide a platform for the interaction among all the stakeholders. I hope that all professionals and engineers from water related industries will take benefit of Exhibition and put all the knowledge in practice.
The rendezvous of civil society in water maters is very critical both from the prospectus of human right and sustainability. Societal needs should be at the center of our water management systems and strategies to conserve energy as globally, about 20% of accessible fresh water is used for energy production.
I strongly believe Pak Water Expo integrate, in the fields of Water, Environment. Energy, and will subsequently bring together Engineers, Consultants, Policy Makers, Regulatory Authorities, and Leaders from around Pakistan to share their knowledge, skills and experience through research papers, case studies, and keynote addresses.
I strongly encourage the organizers to continue holding such event on regularly basis. This will definitely help all participants from different disciplines to share their knowledge and experience with each other. KWSB supports such participation since this kind of event serve as vehicle towards enhancing awareness of Water usage, its conservation and safe disposal of waste water. We are in the opinion that there is a dire need of not only increase the awareness and importance of efficient water distribution and treatment but also to treat waste water and make it reusable for other non potable activities.

I congratulate the organizers of Pak Water Expo 2019 for their tremendous efforts that apparently have gone into putting up a maiden Water exhibition at such a vast scale. Where representatives and professionals of Water industry drawn not only from Pakistan but also from around the world would assemble under one roof and interact with each other for the advancement of water industry in Pakistan.
Water is the life line. Be it an industrial set up or agriculture field or domestic activity. Availability, distribution, conservation and treatment of water are the hot topics on every engineering and social platform. Engineering community bear the burden to provide the solution to these problems.
Water processing Industry in spite of being one of the fastest growing industries in Pakistan has never got its due status and share in the economic policies. Our problems and grievances have not been taken seriously as there was no common platform from where we could discuss & represent Water issues. Since long a need of a good bond organization was being felt. Launching of Pak Water Expo has given a forum from where Firms can raise and resolve different issues with Govt. bodies, other organizations and the citizens of Pakistan.
